This is a Arizona border to Mexico. So of course they are going to patrol it and have some minor checkpoints. All he had to do is say yes and possibly show an Arizona EDL.

Once you are within US borders you should not have to show any type of ID.

It was not a DUI check point, or even one looking for unlicensed drivers, it was purely a citizenship check.

No I will not show you my papers!

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

Talk to Bubba Clinton about that -- he's the one who created some open border zone with Mexico and had these checkpoints put up. They've been around for a long time now -- why are some of you only now just finding out about them? They have nothing to do with Arizona laws, they are federal government.

And the silliest thing about these checkpoints is the title of this thread, you are never asked to show any papers. All that happens is they ask you if you are a US citizen and you say "yes" and are waved on through.

That's probably why over 30 million illegals are living in the USA -- all they have to do is say "yes" and they're waved on through.

Then I take him as being a Canadian trying to sneak in through the Arizona border via Mexico disguising himself as an American. No wonder he didn't want to show ID. He would have finally been caught and deported. Is that a better scenerio?

I don't care who created it or who is continuing it, it's wrong. Seems like you agree with it

No -- I disagree with them back at the very beginning -- when you obviously were not paying attention.

These were a Clinton blurring of the border. The original border was pretty much eliminated, Mexicans were given access to the USA side of it -- so they could come and shop, have their babies here so they could have USA citizenship and food stamps for those babies, use the schools. The plan was they could easily cross over as they pleased but were expected to stay in their own 80 miles inside the USA.

I was very against this plan and it's been a terrible plan because we've now got over 30 milliion illegals living in the USA who never want to return home, and many thousands of anchor babies born in US hospitals that can come live over here whenever they like. The 80 miles was just the first step obviously.
