As usual...Obama has it backwards. Government, and government workers, can not succeed without private businesses. Every dollar the government spends (state, local or federal) was first produced by some private business or individual (well, not counting the ones that are borrowed). And then confiscated by the government to pay for the services they provide.

What he should have said was...all you school teachers, firemen, police officers, government employees...pay a healthy round of respect and gratitude for private businesses and their employees. Especially for the small business owner, who has invested their life savings and untold hours, and a great deal of risk into creating a successful concern. Look at what they are doing. They make your existance possible. You are dependant on them...NOT the other way around.

I have nothing against public employees; they provide useful services, though often at highly inflated prices. Still, it is private enterprise that makes their existance possible.

But no, Obama plays the class warfare game, and once again forgets what is the source of both wealth and the very dollars that pay for the big government he is so fond of. Yeppers, he's a post turtle.

So... he's also saying that if you're broke and lying in the gutter or in prison you also didn't get there by yourself, you had help. At least now we have somebody else to blame.

Sounds like you are making the case for a new government program to help people out of gutters.

The republican party is also playing the class warfare game; the difference is that Obama is forced to respond to it with rhetoric. The republicans can just go out, find billionaires, fund their elections, and then they end up in their pocket. And the result is lending banks that bet, er, "invest" on their own inflated housing markets - something that didn't happen between 1932 and 2000. FWIW, I don't blame just republicans for that; Bubba Clinton passed that legislation just so he could get republicans to take down their sex cams.

Well the government gets us into wars where many of our medical/surgical inovations come from.

Obama's thought process has been revealed and it is a deal breaker!

Get this guy away from the whitehouse asap! Maybe that's what the high end movie stars are trying to do...just keeping him busy until November. Give him lots of mirrors and cash and he is as happy as a clam.

I think all this "create jobs" coming from the left has gone to his head because now he really does think the government not only creates jobs in the private sector but creates the business itself. Boy we are in trouble now.
