Yup, we are a bunch of worker bees, drones, and nothing any of us do is worthy of praise. Sounds very Marxist to me, but then that is the sort of ideology we have seen repeatedly from our class-warfare, imperial president.
How so? Where does he talk about who owns the means of production?
It's clear to me that he was making a bigger point. Like it or not, we do live in a society, and we are all connected at some level.
All I see are people reading what they want his words to mean, not what he actually said.
Just like any good socialist who believes the government provides everything, Obama made it clear; EVERY BUSINESS OWNER got help and nobody does anything on their own. "You didn't build that, someone else did"
How about we just focus on his words (what he said), not what you WISH he meant.

The EPA is quickly taking care of that, by getting a death grip around production.
Try to produce a car that does not meet with EPA's standards.
Try producing energy, or a manufacturer who is a big consumer of energy, without the EPA right their calculating your carbon footprint and CO2 emissions.
BTW, don't bother reading the textbook definition of a Marxist and expect everyone to conform to it, 0bama finds comfort in much that is Marxism, but he also like living like a king, and rubbing elbows with billionaires, Hollywood types, and the Wall Street elites. 0bama is a country club Marxist.
"People are starting businesses every day, they take risks with their time and money to live that American dream. They take the first step, and we all need to work together as a people, so that more hardworking people will join them and take that first step, and take that risk with them. We all rise and fall together, government provides the framework with laws, regulations and even incentives, banks and investors have the capital to loan to those entrepreneus. Hardworking people take the risk to move to a new city, to work for that enterprising risk taker.
We all have our part to play. In ten years that new entrepreneur may become successful enough be the one to invest in the business of some new entrepreneur, and the employees that took that first step ten years ago might be the ones opening their own businesses."
But instead we get, "If you’ve got a business - you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen"
It's strange and sad to realize that entrepreneurship is no longer a core value in America.

That will be banned. "The collective" is what got you where you are today, not you by yourself.
There's no more "me" when looking at your success..it's now "we".
It took a village to get you where you are today and don't you forget that.

How about if the Obama-bashers learn how to take a statement in context? Or is reading more than one sentence too difficult for them?
I am focusing on his words - ALL of his words. I bet they're not even reading his statement.
