The Republican Party has lost all its principles. They want to legislate morals, something that would take real government intervention into our every day private lives, which is something else Republicans claim to be against. The American people are in danger of losing their nation. They are letting fear and lies cloud their judgment. Republicans have employed the same strategies since the 1950′s and it is time to reject that Republican strategy. There is only one way to achieve this. Gut the Republican Party and start over again. It would be like taking out a dictator and installing a sane government. Republicans aren’t going to change their ways. Their thinking comes from people like McCarthy, Skousen, and Beck, and organizations like the Heritage Foundation that push the hate, fear, and lies to grab power. This isn’t about ideas to move the country forward, its all about power and who gets to wield it. Democrats have real ideas. Republicans do not know what ideas are. At least not anymore.
The entire article lays it all out chronologically and worth the read.
Well the Democrats have become the communists of the 60s these days, so if there is a party in need of chemo, that would be the one needing a complete remodel.
Republicans are at fault for compromising with Democrats (who have become communists). How do you compromise food with Democrat poison? How much poison is good for you?
The Republicans need more people with a spine who are ready to lead. I hope both parties at the grass roots level get rid of the old guard and replace them with good Americans who want to cut the size of government and put a balanced budget amendment into place.
In the end, Mr. Foster’s charges are nothing but political propaganda that are used by him and his fellow liberal fascists, as a means to hold on to their last vestiges of liberal legitimacy in modern politics. When it comes to contemporary politics, the liberal numbers just don’t add up.
Their policies have led to an unsustainable federal behemoth that can only be propped up through rhetoric, the proliferation of ignorance, and much like the popularity of unhealthy narcotics, through a continued dependence on something that is not good for you.
Ultimately, I believe the most contrarian approach to fascism that one could take is to oppose a centralized government that seizes the assets earned by individual Americans through excessive taxation that funds social engineering and programs that exceed the twenty constitutional powers given to the federal government. For that Mr. Foster considers me a fascist. Yet ironically he considers his belief in more government intervention, more social engineering and greater centralized powers in the federal government make him a defender of liberty?
Cleary, Mr. Foster and anyone who is inclined to hold his writings up for consideration are either living in denial about their own fascist inclinations or totally unaware of what liberty truly is.
The problem is your definition, along with other liberals, of "progress". Since abandoning founding principles seems to yield the type of progress that you are seeking, I along with other conservatives, want nothing of it.
Convenience, ease, and wealth is no reason to abandon liberty.
I'm not exactly sure what is right about the Democratic Party. What programs they pass work? Social Security? It just a scam to tax people and government, increase the power of government. Medicare? Only manages to give up 60 billion a year to faud and can't figure it out. Medicaid? Food Stamps, Head Start, Energy Dept. Education Dept, ...the list goes on....
