Maybe I'm wrong (although I know I have lots of company) but I feel like WW3 is nearly upon us (if not already here in the early stages), based on our unusually clever and quiet tactical conquering of the Middle East to the detriment of competing powers like Russia and China, as well as the timing of it all.
God I hope I'm wrong!
Anyway, my REAL question... Would it be humanly possible to experience another war on the scale of the last world war without anyone using nuclear weapons?
Or is it hoping for the proverbial "pie in the sky"?

The President intends to possibly run such a war using the TelePrompter and a snazzy profile.

Given the level of corruption, moral decay along with the downright stupidity of countries that currently possess them; NOPE!

Depends how out of hand it gets... if Israel is getting pounded and the only way to equal it out , that could be nuclear power.
It could escalate very quickly. It is a different world today.

Can World War 3 be fought WITHOUT nuclear weapons?
So far it has been. The weapons of choice have been roadside bombs, airliners into buildings, conventional fighters and bombers, Scud missiles, Special Forces teams, the StuxNet worm, a few select assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists, and conventional cruise missiles. Plus a shiiteload of tanks in Desert Storm I.

A few (former) residents of Auschwitz and Birkenau might disagree with this statement. Except they're not around any longer to argue their case.

Only because Hitler himself saw the horrors of poison gas in WWI.
Regarding the subject of the thread, I don't think it would be possible to fight an all out war without nukes for the US anyway. We just don't have the numbers to match up to China and Russia considering that Great Britain and Canada would probably be they only countries that would help us.
