This president is toast come November. His ideology is staunchly opposed to everything (the old) America stood for.

I think somebody better get bammer out to the golf course. He's becoming more of a train wreck than Hanoi John Kerry. Every time that idiot shut his pile hole his numbers went up but every time he went out on the "trail" his numbers went down. lol

Do you remember what education was like BEFORE the federal government became involved? It cost about 500% LESS, and was MUCH MORE EFFECTIVE in producing logical and educated citizens who could trouble shoot a problem, as well as taking care of their own families without looking for government assistance. Most of modern "education" is government-mandated propaganda and brainwashing in the liberal mode; we are FAR behind all the other nations in critical areas like STEM, and still give students the summers off as if we still had an agrarian society.

Next, have you studied the ramifications of all the TAX INCREASES associated with Obamacare, as well as the death-blow to Medicare, and the not-so-subtle effects such as driving single-doctor's offices out of business in order to create easily-controlled health care conglomerates? Do you understand how health insurance will become MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE (but now legally required), as well as even more of a bureaucratic nightmare, with Big Government suddenly put in the middle of a system that was already too riddled with third-party profiteers and their attendant bureaucracies?

We could pretty must ABOLISH the federal government entirely, and the only effect we'd see was a massive growth in the economy as 1/2 of wage earners suddenly got to SPEND or SAVE the money they earned, instead of sending it to a grossly overgrown, corrupt and war-mongering power-mad Empire.

Government is not the solution to ANY problem; MINIMIZING government, on the other hand, is the solution to our nation's #1 problem today.

Apparently this Constitutional scholar has forgotten that this country was founded for the purpose of letting its citizens be self-reliant... and that they, unlike him, considered it very valuable. They even called it a right.

Is it November yet?

Obama: If We Lose in 2012, Government Will Tell People ‘You’re on Your Own’

At a million-dollar San Francisco fundraiser today, President Obama warned his recession-battered supporters that if he loses the 2012 election it could herald a new, painful era of self-reliance in America.
It was founded during a time of self-reliance; it was also founded during the time of horse-drawn carriages and no telephones. Should we all live like the Amish?

In fact, I do. I think it was called 'separate but equal'. Your point?

Government was running things when we had that. Courts upheld that idea for years.

Obama climbs to 265 electoral votes on TPM's Electoral Scoreboard.

Sure. Why not? The eco-peeps would be happy. We'll never find a completely eco-friendly way to provide electricity or run automobiles or to build most things. If we were honest with ourselves, living like the Amish is the only way to go. Living in close-knit, self-sufficient communities. Living off the land. Horses and trees are some of the best and non-polluting renewable resources...

If we're lucky, we might be exempt from the sure-to-be-inefficient, certainly overpriced and most definitely subpar-care Obamacare to boot.
Oh, did I say self-sufficient? Never mind then. We'd never go for it.

Rather depends. Are you building a deck or enforcing pollution guidelines for oil refineries?

Of course, Obama didn't say the words "painful self-reliance", that was the journalist editorializing.

Work and pay for things yourself. That is a good solution. Quit relying on everyone else to take care of you.
