Homeless guys, high on crack they can buy almost anywhere in public, taking dumps on the sidewalk is BETTER than someone smoking a cigarette. I love SF, but they don't know the meaning of the word priority.
I guess I toss around the term liberal to liberally...sorry about that- I stand corrected. Smokes are over ten bucks a pack in Toronto- most of that tax- that goes into health care..My mother in law needed surgery to open up a blocked artery in her leg- She is 76 years old-- The young doctor smelled smoke on her while she was waiting in hospital for the surgery;;; Out of sheer spite he refused to do the surgery and sent her home- now she has to wait for the foot to rot off- and return to have the leg removed- Great....
Yes - smoking in time will damage the circulatory system- but the lady is old and smoked for 50 years...The anti-tobacco doctor punished her out of sheer spite...Mean while the old ladies smoking probably bought his his Mercedes...through hundreds of thousands of dollars in excise tax...or as we call it "sin tax"-
Even if the surgery let her keep her leg for even a few months - it should have been done- Having her quit smoking at this time would have only empowered the doctors abusive sense of domination over a patient..
There is nothing in this world more spiteful and irrational than the anti-smoking crowd.
So liberal hippies went from "do your own thing" to obsessive government control of it's citizens' lives.
Cool, I'm moving to SF.
Pot rules!!
