If a 24 year old unemployed student did have a CC with a 20K credit limit, I'd say THAT was a bigger threat to the USA's long term stability than owning guns.
Well, we'll have to see. If a 24 year old unemployed student did have a CC with a 20K credit limit, I'd say THAT was a bigger threat to the USA's long term stability than owning guns.

Uh, really? You can't kill 12 people and injure 58 more with a credit card. The worst you could do is poke their eye out.
Wasn't he about to get his Doctorate or a grad student ? Nowadays it's not uncommon for them to have $100K or more in debt. Someone will lend them the money as a student.
I know better but I just flipped it over to MSNBC.
Some guy on there talking about banning "Automatic Assault Rifles" and he obviously knew very little about what he spoke. Problem is many people believe him to be knowledgeable.
It would be more believable if he had his facts straight. I don't guess the truth or facts matter much anymore.
I posted this in the Colorado forum, but it belongs here:
When it comes to the "right to bear arms", it seems like there should be a difference between having ONE handgun (or having a rifle or two in a rural/farm/hunting setting) and being able to buy multiple weapons in a short period of time. Also, why should anyone (other than cops) have a gun that has the ability to fire so MANY times in a row? IF someone has a gun, it should be for a legit purpose (like someone protecting their home/farm or for hunting), not for the purpose of just having a bunch of guns (then it becomes easier for some wacko to go buy a bunch of guns unnoticed).
