Out of some silly urge to defend a horrid administration you are failing to recognize Syria could have their own program..which is likely the case. Many respected people gave the Bush administration the evidence there were no WMD's but that simply did not support what their goals were. They lied to get us in a war. Saddam had little going on in the chenical and biological weapons. There were things going on in other places, but not Iraq..which is where they wanted to be.

If someone finds old weapons or supplies from a previous time it does not validate what was being pushed by bush/ cheney... Face it they had ulterior motives and we were the dumba$$s that fell for it...

It's early, but it doesn't take too much imagination to realize that Syria most likely got WMDs at the same time Iraq got rid of theirs. You know, when Bush was stupidly trying to appease the left while waiting a year to attack Iraq, trying to get the support of the French and the Germans that would never come?

I think a lot of moonbats on the left are going to be eating crow on WMD when the full truth on Syria's WMDs comes out.
Hussein used poison gas on his own people. That was back in the 80's. It's stupid to say that nobody knew he had chemical weapons. Bush's justification was he was working on nukes. The risk might come in the form of a 'mushroom cloud".

Let me recap. People knew he had poison gas in the 80's. People obviously knew this long before Bush invaded.

CNN.com - Bush: Don't wait for mushroom cloud - Oct. 6, 2002

LOL @ all the "TEH DEMOCRAT SED THE WAR WAZ GUUD SO DEY CAN NEVER SAY NUTHIN!!1!".

All the Democrats who later came out against the war aren't weak. They aren't "flip floppers". They aren't "hypocrites". They saw the Iraq Debacle for what it really was, and realized our Government was wrong. It's called LOGICAL THINKING. You righties and your dedication to things despite evidence to the contrary is really, really sad. You can admit that the Iraq Debacle wasn't a good thing. It's okay. No ones going to think any less of you.

Or AT LEAST, stop demonizing countries like France for not getting involved in the Iraq Debacle. They were right for not joining, and did absolutely, positively NOTHING wrong by not being part of it...

Since you have determined that it was all 'false', revisionist, and spin.
Van Anraat sold the munitions in 1984. Every component and compound that Hussein had was counted, stored, tagged and verified after Desert Storm I. It was accounted for after we invaded.

THERE WAS NO NEW WMD's, NO NEW FACILITIES, NO NUKE PROGRAM or MOBILE TRUCK BIO TRAILERS.

Van Anraat was arrested and charged with war crimes for the Northern Iraq bombings. NOT for genocide or weapons trafficking with Iraq. Not for nuke weapons.

Is this thread proof of the Dumbing Down of America?

Yes, I do believe it acts as such.

Ummm, Syria =/= Iraq.
Simple geography.

So what is the premise of this tread?

You might want to read a little more before making such ridiculous statements.
Why haven't any been found.
We destroyed their country, the cradle of civilization, turned over the sand and killed the citizens, and still no WMD.

You're 100% correct, however, millions didn't fall for it, millions knew of the PNAC and their stated desire under Clinton to invade Iraq, millions knew that Bush and Cheney and the rest of the neocons were/are liars, and millions didn't buy the lie they were selling.

Iraq had WMD's because Syria reports having WMD's? This has to be the most bizarre logic I've seen posted in a long long time.

Can't prove a negative.
You made the positive assertion, it's yours to prove.
I'll wait.
