In all respect, the Master is the all powerful Pope...you will never bring him down....and I don't see many Catholics trying....I don't see priests trying...the Pope and higher leaders in the church would certainly not admit to anything they weren't caught at...try to catch them? Demand to see records, letters, sick instructions to "hide" certain priests, put them in areas with fresh meat ?????....HOW are you going to bring down the Pope....???? If your "god" was just and treasured children, the Pope and child raping preists wouldn't exist.

There are plenty of priests who aren't child rapists just like there are plenty of coaches in the NCAA who aren't child rapists too. If they're caught they should just shoot em in front of the courthouse and be done with the whole lot of em.

Your analogy is wrong. You should be attacking the trustees at Penn State if you want to compare anyone to the catholic church because the trustees are the ones who were doing plenty of the covering up too. Problem is Joe kicked off and now they are throwing him under the bus because he can't bring em down with him. I haven't heard anyone calling for their hides. They are the ones who allowed it to go on and would again if they thought they could get away with it to save the "program".

In both cases, all who knew anything were at fault. Trustees, coaches, priests who were perps, bishops who shuffled them around, other priests who saw doors closing at inappropraite times, or unusal expenditure patterns, as well as all in either PSU admin or Vatican City who knew those aiding and abetting like Boston's Law or Sandusky and colleagues, and either did nothing or promoted them.

Based upon the emails, Joe pretty much threw himself under the bus. If anything dying saved his behind.

Pope Caught Orchestrating Church Pedophile Cover Up - BSAlert.com
The pope does not come under US law;does he. Nor did Polandski when convicted of rape of a child. That is just life and the difference i thsi world.I am sure most woud be hoffiied at the young sex slaveds arouf the owlrd also. One wrong as they say doesn't justify anther actions. The coach was never brought to trail and his reputation mnay be the least of what he has left his family by the time civil law is thru nr the University for his and others actions.

You think the trustees will step down or be charged with anything?

I just hope the NCAA when they announce the penalties on monday allow all athletes to transfer and be immediately eligible. I tire of seeing the kids get punished for the actions of the coaches or administration.

Well of course - hundreds by scores of priests over the years.

That's why I've always thought the idea of having celibate unmarried priests was a foolish idea.

I think my link was closer to the truth than what the sensationalist reporters are trying to distort. Lots of priests have been incarcerated, nobody's covering that up, but the defrocking process is a closed business, separate from criminal investigations.

No legal authority has charged Benedict with anything, so get back to me when that happens.

(I was raised Catholic, but parted with the Church 40 years ago)

If any witnessed anything questionable, they should be penalized.

No, the Pope isn't the Master, as much as he might think he is. He's a man and as with any man he is susceptible to the corruption of wealth and power. Even the Pope's power of infallibility is extremely limited.

There's still plenty of good Catholics doing good work in this world, even if the Church itself has veiled those works to the eyes of others because of its own sins.

Who do you think allowed it to go on/covered it up in the Catholic Church?
