Am I the only one that was looking forward to Newt Gingridge running for President? While I dont think he had a chance of winning, I was really looking forward to his intelligent debates. I think he's truly one guy who understands how politics are, and has never held back with telling people the way it is.

You mean Newt Gingrich, don't you? Well, at least he didn't keep folks in stitches for months. Heck, he's got a good-paying job off-campus, why ruin a good thing?

Yes, thanks for the spelling correction, I'm thinking that he might never have intended to run, but can always use the boost in publicity for his company, perhapse a vp nomination in the works.

You might want to re-read your post. I think it said, "not running." You have about 90 minutes more or less to edit your own post.

Glad we caught it.

I do think it would have been interesting to have an intelligent guy like the former Speaker run for President. I am not finding much meat or potatoes in the present crop of Republican or Democratic candidates.

Exclamation Newt?Are you kidding?

Newt Gingrich is a big part of why we have NAFTA, GAT, and are losing
sovereignty.
I am relieved he is not running. He may say the right things-but-
look into what he does, and you will find a different Picture
Because most Americans don't dig deep enough to understand who these people really are.

If you listen to him speak-he sounds so convincing- but dig a bit and you find out who lurks beneath. Here's a good synopsis to check out.

Dear Fellow Christians, Please Wake Up!

I'm in agreement with you, PGH.

In the '80's and early '90's, the GOP was deservedly-called "the party of ideas."

That's been sorely lacking for too long now.

Gingrich's overly-candid description of himself as being hopelessly charmed by Bill Clinton ended his relevance as a national leader.

Oh so true. I liked Newt well enough, but he is a has been. Besides he just doesnt have the honesty required for me to support him. I do miss his attacks on Ted Kennedy though. It seemed to be Newts favorite mission.
LOL Mine too.
