President Barack Obama should stop talking about the middle class because it turns people against rich Americans, who should be embraced as the Michael Jordans of the U.S. economy, Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) said Monday.
Declaring that the use of the phrase "middle class" is "misguided and wrong and even dangerous," Kyl argued in a Senate floor speech that Obama is "spreading economic resentment [that] weakens American values" and ignoring "the uniquely meritocratic basis of our society."
If Kyle and many Republicans had it their way we would be focusing on how to make their lives of the wealthy better. Screw the middle class. In fact, they advocate not even using the phrase middle class OMG.
I was being nice to tone it down to socialst. I don't like those other terms although communist would be a better fit.
If you care about the middle class you are a socialist, marxist, or communist. So what is a Person who only cares about the wealthy...does that make him a real american?

I think the point that the esteemed senator was trying to make was that the term "middle class" in very ambiguous. Many people who are not middle class identify themselves as such for whatever reason, perhaps it gives them a warm fuzzy feeling to be "one of the huddled masses" or something.
What the esteemed senator was pointing out that Obama is being divisive and continuing to divide and separate the people of this country, pitting once against another for the purposes of his own sick, politcal agenda. Apparently, this is the only thing that he is good at.

HappyTexan. I like you, but this happens to be your funniest post. The Obama payroll tax cut helps the middle class because it puts more money into the hands of the middle class. As far as taking money away from govt. services, Obama is not proposing that...that is the Republicans. The Republicans are proposing less govt. services that directly impact the middle class. Not Obama. Obama's answer to increasing revenue is increase the amount the wealthy pay...These are the facts now spin them again.
The middle Class is Obama's base even though many do not know it. The mental gymnastics that one must do to make Obama an enemy of the middle class and the Republicans champions of the middle class is fun to watch, but has no substance.
