Falun Gong is a religion founded 20 years ago by a man by the name of Li Hongzhi.
Some have accused Falun Gong of being a cult, and certainly there are some unsavory things about them. They disapprove of homosexuality and believe in faith healing at the expense of modern medicine. But then again, Christians, Muslims and Jews arguably believe in a lot of unsavory things.
Many of the people who practice Falun Gong are older women. People talk about the PRC's treatment of Tibet all the time and certainly that is wrong, but I feel like if the allegations about organ harvesting, torture and execution of Falun Gong believers is true, it's probably the worst thing the PRC is doing and I'd dare even compare it to the Holocaust though on a smaller scale.
What do you guys think? Do you know anything about it?

The Chinese are generally very paranoid about cults or any religion that may resemble a cult. See "Taiping Rebellion" for the reasons why.

I imagine that China would be against this group because of the disciplines it stands for.
That's unfortunate, but that's the nature of the Chinese government.
Falun Gong has 5 exercises and a moral code: Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.
In China there is a great legacy from Daoist, Buddhist and Confucianism to regard highly the importance of one's moral character and virtue.
When Communism came, they wanted people to say that it's OK to steal, lie and kill if the party said so.*
So among the first thing it did it destroyed traditional culture.
Just imagine the party's shock and horror, when the traditional culture was being reborn and people could start to judge the history in the eye's of benevolent virtues.
In any case these human rights abuses are condemned by United Nations, Amnesty International, US Congress, Human Rights Watch, and many more see here:*FalunInfo.net - Government and NGO Research and Advocacy
