Well, I have relatives in 5 European countries. I think my viewpoint is pretty valid.
Cool story bro.

For this Spanish or Greek Guy I would recommend to move somewhere else. It's a global economy. And High Youth Unemployment was the norm for most countries in Southern Europe before they joined the Euro.
Good point. That might be accelerating Spain's decline also.
Who is buying all these government's bonds and why?
Spain suspended its August bond auction because there were was a dearth of suckers willing to get a 7.x% yield. The next couple of months should be fun to watch.
No way should we accept European citizens on our shores. The social scientists will go beserk!
We do not want to interrupt the demographic transformation taking place in which non-WASPS become the minority by 2050. We cannot throw a wrench into those plans.
Then again, having traveled to Europe, what passes for a "European" is not the same as what that term meant for the previous 40,000 or so years before multiculturalism and liberal policies decided to destroy the national identity/culture of European, and only European, countries.
...and I'm going to visit my family in a couple of months, but not seeing it from the tourist trap sidewalk cafe vantage point like most of the smug people here do. Your anecdotal evidence, even it's to be believed, isn't statistically valid. My family is miserable over there and we don't even show them all the pictures of our stuff because we feel bad for them and they're known to be a lil' envious at times.
Go talk to a 20 something Spanish or Greek guy and ask him how his social life is doing.
Europe has a LONG history of warfare, and only 15 years of relative peace isn't anything to be proud of.
Well for the whole of the summer, those 20 something Spanish and Greek guys will be scoring with all the German, Scandinavian, Swiss and British single ladies who flood into Spain and Greece for summer holidays. I bet they are feeling no pain.
As for youth unemployment, in countries like Spain and France, it is almost impossible to fire somebody - which makes it that much harder to get hired: an employer is afraid to hire a young person without good references and a verifiable track record - they might get stuck with them for years!
The problems in Europe (which are not actually noticeable to anyone in Europe such as myself and are mainly noticeable in the U.S. media) are mainly caused by letting Greece and the Eastern European countries in - a great, noble gesture for the future but - unfortunately - they DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY. I think there will eventually be a peaceful separation between Western and Eastern Europe.. they'll probably still let the Poles slip through to do construction work as nobody in Western Europe actually wants to break a sweat.
