As is turns out, the Federal Reserve donated $2.5 trillion to Citigroup, while Morgan Stanley received $2.04 trillion. The Royal Bank of Scotland and Deutsche Bank, a German bank, split about a trillion and numerous other banks received hefty chunks of the $16 trillion.

"This is a clear case of socialism for the rich and rugged, you’re-on-your-own individualism for everyone else." - Bernie Sanders (I-VT)

When you have conservative Republican stalwarts like Jim DeMint(R-SC) and Ron Paul(R-TX) as well as self identified Democratic socialists like Bernie Sanders all fighting against the Federal Reserve, you know that it is no longer an issue of Right versus Left. When you have every single member of the Republican Party in Congress and progressive Congressmen like Dennis Kucinich sponsoring a bill to audit the Federal Reserve, you realize that the Federal Reserve is an entity onto itself, which has no oversight and no accountability.
Agreed. One of the fundamental tenants of "crony capitalism" is privatizing the profits and socializing the losses. Big businesses - particularly big banks - have all become masters of this tactic. They make a fortune selling garbage, end up running the system into the ground, and then get bailed out.

Andrew Jackson summed this up when dealing with one of the previous incarnations of the Federal Reserve:

"Gentlemen! I too have been a close observer of the doings of the Bank of the United States. I have had men watching you for a long time, and am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank and annul its charter I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves. I have determined to rout you out, and by the Eternal, (bringing his fist down on the table) I will rout you out! "

Now, replace "breadstuffs" with "real estate" and practically everything else, and you can see what the crooks have been doing. Oh, and the number of families ruined is more like 50 million vs 50,000... Long story short, nothing really changes. There is a certain element among the rich and powerful who will not stop until they own everything and everyone. These types are naturally found in places of privelage and power, where their rotten deeds are not questioned. We should recognize them before they destroy us.

Default The Audit The Fed Bill Gets Passed By The House But Obama And The Democrats Are Going To Kill It

Yes, the Dems are as full of crap as the Repubs - surprised? Just like that stupid false indignation about the 'made in China' olympic uniforms, they will not 'dignify' the passing of this bill. Only Ron Paul had any solution to the sinking of this American economy, and since Americans are too stupid and brainwashed to vote for him, they will get what they deserve - total collapse.

The audit would be a good thing, but Ron Paul is only right a splinter of a time and spends the rest of it going either anarchist or outright crazy IMO.

Please post your links to Ron Paul endorsing anarchy; otherwise, the above is nothing more than a troll post.

Let's see if they can make a deal. The Senate passes the audit bill if the House passes the middle class tax cut extension, and/or vice versa.
