Yes, "gluttony" is considered one of the "deadly sins" and as far as I know, there has been no points system developed for these sins - they are all equal, unless of course you pull bible quotes out of your a** whenever it accomodates your beliefs/lifestyle

The idea that obesity is only the result of gluttony is a false premise. Obesity can result from eating regular portions of poor-nutrition or high-calorie food, and not exercising enough. It doesn't mean you necessarily eat huge portions. With drive-thrus and towns where driving and parking is easier than walking, it doesn't take much calorie intake to become obese. Some people are also obese, in spite of dieting and exercising, due to medical reasons such as a hormonal imbalance. There are also people who eat a lot but because of their high metabolism and fortunate genetics, don't gain much weight. In other words, not every glutton is obese and not every obese person is a glutton.

No they don't legislate, but they do provide homosexual activists and their supporters the bigoted boogieman they need to compliment the narrative that they, like racial minorities, are denied rights simply because they are different.

Nevermind that the majority has rights too.

Obesity isn't nonsense. It creates massive health care costs and I would think a not to favorable quality of life. OP's got a point. Gluttony in all things is problematic.

Lol, name one group that doesn't ignore their own hypocracy (other than CD's resident Progressives, of course.)

Well I am glad some are recognising that gay sex is a sin and wrong. AT LAST.

There are many sexual sins and we all need to deal with them, in one way or another. Adultery, homosexuality, lust, porn, and pedophilia. They all come under Ten Commandments of thou shalt not. Some want to take homosexuality off the table as sin but that won't work for most people, have the shade pulled over our eyes. Many need to fight against lust for their neighbors wife or husband. Many have to fight against a porn addiction. None of us are left off the hook to fight against doing things that are wrong and sinful.

No one gets a free pass when it comes to sin. If you want a secular society where everything is ok and there is no right or wrong then we will deal with the aftermath of that and it will be a mess. We already are in so many ways and our kids are the ones who have to pay for it.
