So these people would rather force the bakery to make the cake and pay for it so in the end they are giving their money to a business that doesn't like them.
I would just go find another bakery and not make a big stink about it.
Only a fool plows into an obstruction head on. What is with this mindless aggression anyway? You see a brick wall...that is ten feet high and ten feet long- You don't gather a gang of angry and hate filled twits with sledge hammers to smash it down...If the wall is ten feet long- you either to the left or right a distance of 11 feet and go around the damned thing. What right does any group or individual have to concentrate a punishment on another person that they don't like because of their way of thinking?
You don't have to find another bakery - they should have order the cake with out making a big deal out of being gay- Just got a standard cake and went out and bought two sets of Ken and Barbie dolls- Tossed out The Barbies and stuck the tow Kens on top of the cake.......................but noooooooooo.....they had to make a big proclamation about wanting a gay cake..........................Cakes do not have a sexual orientation....It;s a cake!
If you are going to own a business, you cannot discriminate.
It's pretty simple, actually.
Really? is that in Russia, China, Cuba or Venzuela??
One can't discriminate in housing, but one can refuse to violate their deep held beliefs. That bakery owner made it clear that if two gays come arm-in-arm and order a birthday cake, they get that cake.
It's a "wedding cake" that they will be denied, and rightly so. It's up to the owner and/or baker. Sorta like, "no shoes, no shirt, no service." gasp

No that is in Colorado and many other states. You might want to actually know the laws of the state you own a business in. At least a SMART business person would.

Agreed. Going to another bakery would have been the better decision, the high road, but instead these two wonderful darlings deliberately and wantonly targeted this particular establishment because they knew that this bakery doesn't make homosexual "wedding" cakes, they got their opportunity to raise a stink in the media and they got their 15 minutes of fame. If it really bothered them so much then why are they not filing charges and what exactly would the charges be? What specifically would the damages be if any? Why has the state not taken any action if state laws were broken?
They wanted the media circus so that they could bully this bakery to change its beliefs about homosexual "marriage". The bakery owner has said that he would close up shop before ever doing that and then again maybe their desired goal is to put this establishment out of business because he dares to disagree about homosexual "marriage".
What makes a wedding cake a wedding cake anyway? As you pointed out the difference between a wedding cake and any other cake is the two ornaments on top and if they absolutely had to have a cake from this particular bakery and no place else than just substitute the two figurines. Or better yet take your business elsewhere and vote with your dollars. Oh I forgot, the homosexual agenda is terrified of any form of voting.

What I'm reading is that you find it perfectly acceptable for laws to be broken as long as you disagree with the law?
If you speed 90+ in a 70mph section of the interstate and you don't get pulled over, does it make your actions legal or right? No. It doesn't.

1. Do you have proof that they KNEW that this bakery wouldn't serve homosexuals? (which is against state law)
2. They are currently planning their wedding, and have said on their facebook page that they are not letting this issue go, but are currently concentrating on their nuptials.
3. Many wedding cakes don't even have toppers on them anymore, and many people that do use them buy their own instead of using the generic ones that bakeries have.
The bakery owner said that he would not make a wedding cake for homosexuals. He said nothing about the cake topper.

The link to the story and video on page one of this thread already covered this. He does and has served homosexuals, just not wedding cakes.

Nope.
The bakery owner said that "its just the wedding cake, not the people, not their lifestyle."
Why was it necessary for this "couple" to confrontationally blurt out that they are getting married first thing walking into the store when they knew this was not a receptive audience for that? They knew the bakery already turned away a homosexual couple in the spring and they selectively and deliberately targeted this establishment because its beliefs go against the homosexual agenda in an attempt to bully him into changing his beliefs. The bakery owner said that if the state won't recognize homosexual marriage then neither will he.
Does this wonderful "couple" really want to close down this bakery? If this should ever go to court and the homosexuals win this is exactly what will happen, the bakery will shut down rather than cave in to bullying from the homosexual agenda.
Rather than take on every single instance where you are not getting your way just go somewhere else as you will never achieve 100% compliance and agreement.

He was breaking the law. he makes wedding cakes, and sells wedding cakes to the public. It is illegal in Colorado to deny a service offered to the public to someone based on their sexual orientation.
THAT is the law. If the baker doesn't like it, he should not be doing business in Colorado, or any other state that has anti discrimination laws.

If this is true then why hasn't the state stepped in and filed charges?
What has been overlooked is the rudeness and hostility displayed by this wonderful "couple" when they shouted "F you" at the owner and flipped him the finger. That wasn't very nice or even civil but par for the course for these homosexual bullies enraged that they can't get their way all the time. Maybe this is why these two cowards aren't filing charges. These two angry disgruntled malcontents should just go somewhere else that won't be so upsetting to them or the storekeepers.
