It should NOT be what did the Dems do for vets vs what did the Repubs do for vets.
Our government owes vets some privileges for having served and I think they earned it.
It's sickening to watch each side pander to one group or another or use groups for partisan bickering.
And we've come to accept this as BAU in politics.

This, pretty much.

It's why our government has really gone downhill. Instead of trying to work together, it's all "FOMG DEMOCRATS ARE EVIL COMMIES AND WE SHOULD VOTE THEM ALL OUT" or "FOMG REPUBLICANS ARE HEARTLESS FACISTS AND WE SHOULDN'T WORK WITH THEM AT ALL".
Until we change this attitude, we're never going to improve as a nation.
It's on the calendar for August, I believe. Reid resisted a GOP effort to hold floor votes on amendments they offered because it would tie up the Senate for weeks.
One of the provisions would be a permanent tax credit for businesses which hire Veterans, and even more for wounded Veteran's, but that's part of the American Jobs Act which the GOP has been stonewalling now for 9 months.
Boy, that's rich. The right complaining about partisanship!
I do believe you were the one who started this extremely partisan thread with your lies about the GOP stonewalling. Can you spell "H Y P O C R I T E?" I somehow knew you could.
