"Unbelief is on the uptick. People who check "None" for their religious affiliation are now nearly one in five Americans (19%), the highest ever documented, according to the Pew Center for the People and the Press."
why are there so many religious ppl in the US? didn't notice it when i was younger. but a good friend of mine recently came out as religious. i couldn't believe it. i haven't been able to look at him the same way ever since.
so far everyone posting here comes off as if they are superior to a religious person. I don't see a difference between you guys and the bible-thumpers who tell me I'm going to hell. You are both jerks who think they can judge other people when it comes to religion and faith.

I don't get that either.
These people complain about religion being shoved down their throats, but then they do the same thing. I wouldn't mind it as much if they were honest. Instead of saying "believe anything you want", they should just admit they don't like anything other than what they think. They'll still be jerks, but at least not hypocrites then.
