I've really had it. Now, my computers with Firefox are running the stupid Olympic Flame. No option to remove it (besides making something else the Homepage). Slowing those computers a bit, costing me & my assistants seconds, when our time is worth Dollars-per-second (and slowing-down countless other people).
You should return your copy of Firefox and demand your money back.
Yeah! Like that! Precisely! Athletes are not viable role models. Athletics represent a warped system of values (replacing or masking other warped and destructive systems). And I'm sick of official and 'important' entities pushing that garbage at us, and expecting us to believe that these trivialities are 'important' and 'uplifting'.
Three names off the top of my head:
Kurt Warner
Eric Liddell
Roger Bannister
(Two of them were Olympic athletes. One won a Super Bowl.)
Feel free to Google each of them and tell me they aren't outstanding role models.

I was embarrassed with their grand opening ceramony. Here, Great Brition was the Empire where the sun never set, and had the greatest navy in history and here all they could come up with was their socialist politics with Mary Poppins and their socialized medicine which is a flop. Queen Victory must be turning in her grave with this insult to a once great country she created. Compared to China's opening ceramony, the UK's was an infantile flop. To make it even worse, I can't watch the contestants because the commercials are so long, I fall to sleep, I don't get to watch the performances.

My only complaint about the Olympics is that I am sick to DEATH of volleyball.
