I never could stand the Clinton's, either of them, and I can't for the life of me figure out why Bill is so popular now. Be that as it may, he IS popular and well respected around the globe. And, his wife IS an integral and vital part of the Obama administration. Naturally, Obama wants to cash in on that. Wouldn't you?
Conversely, the GOP convention will include the notable absence of their last 2 term President and his Vice President. There has to be a reason for that far beyond the "fact" that Romney doesn't need them.
It is because democrats have and still are running against Bush. They forgot he hasn't ran for office since '04. They blame everything on Bush and still do. Why add fuel to the idiot fire?
Why is Clinton to headline for Obama at the Democratic convention?
Why is Bill Jefferson Clinton doing this, when Obama has refused to enforce Clinton's DOMA, repealed Clinton's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", and is undermining Clinton's Welfare Reform Act, and Obama continued Bush's tax rates not the Clinton era tax rates, not to mention that Obama is doing the exact opposite of Clinton, by NOT balancing the budget and running up almost $6 trillion in debt over four years.
If anything, Obama is the anti-Clinton, as in undoing everything in the 1990s that Clinton hangs his hat on. The only thing these two men have in common is the (D) after their names.
So he won't be blamed when Obama loses. However, Clinton is no friend of Obama. He will, however, show the party flag for him at the convention and pretend he likes him.
He needs to lean on something besides lies, because at this rate Romney's going to lose pretty bad.
How so? What in the hell is 0bama running on??
1) The 1.7% GDP growth??
2) The average 9.2% unemployment rate during his term?
3) The record high numbers of Americans living on Food Stamps?
4) The record high numbers of Americans living in poverty?
5) The record high numbers of Americans living on Social Security Disability Insurance?
6) The horrible housing market?
7) The unstable Middle East
Romney just needs to show people the truth, to get elected.
0bama needs to lie and hide the truth, to get elected.

I'm guessing Clinton sees this as an opportunity to brag once more about his presidency.
Clinton will be hiding a secret smile, because 0bama is admitting that the Clinton presidency is the new benchmark of presidential success. Clinton will have a front row seat as 0bama grovels before him, and admits to the greatness that is Bill Clinton. 0bama will be trying to tell the world, if reelected he will try and improve the economy and maybe, just maybe he might one day be able to hold a candle next the greatness that is Bill Clinton.
A better question would be why George Bush is NOT headlining for Romney at the GOP convention.
For those with open eyes and honest hearts, it's obvious. Bush has retired. Clinton is still blabbering all over the place.
