Why is Clinton to headline for Obama at the Democratic convention?

Why is Bill Jefferson Clinton doing this, when Obama has refused to enforce Clinton's DOMA, repealed Clinton's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", and is undermining Clinton's Welfare Reform Act, and Obama continued Bush's tax rates not the Clinton era tax rates, not to mention that Obama is doing the exact opposite of Clinton, by NOT balancing the budget and running up almost $6 trillion in debt over four years.

If anything, Obama is the anti-Clinton, as in undoing everything in the 1990s that Clinton hangs his hat on. The only thing these two men have in common is the (D) after their names.

Bill Clinton to Headline Democratic Convention

A better question would be why George Bush is NOT headlining for Romney at the GOP convention.

Maybe Clinton realizes that as time changes, gov't has to change with them and that no policies stay on the books forever.

Because Romney does not need to lean on a prior president to elevate himself, like sad-sack 0bama is doing

He needs to lean on something besides lies, because at this rate Romney's going to lose pretty bad.

Maybe Clinton thinks he will illustrate just how great a president he was, by comparing his successful presidency with the failure that is 0bama's.

Well most dems don't want to get anywhere near that convention especially if they are running for their seat again. Somebody has to get their fat mug seen there. Bubba never saw a camera he didn't want to mug for.

Clinton is the moderate Dem that everyone loves. It's as simple as that.
The left is going to reign it in for the convention..can't be too progressive or too radical.
