What you cherry picked, looking past the rest and then complain about, is all caused by a controlling progressive government and the experiment of social engineering. Something that at one time was non-existent in this nation. Research: The Progressive Era.
I don't what the hell you're talking about, I honestly don't. Cherry pick what? Looking past what? Complaining about what?
History shows that Romney has an inclination to swing both ways, but not to the extreme right. Your fear is unfounded and looks like our fear of progressives has panned out.
No, history shows that Romney has an inclination to pander to his party and flip his position on issues when needed to vote. I don't believe Romney believes half the things that comes out of his mouth when he's pandering for the vote since you don't just change your political positions on a whim like that.
And to address two incorrect statements you made earlier: no the DNC hasn't made a swing to the left. They may have inched a little to the left socially by adopting gay marriage as the national platform, but overall when it comes to other issues, the DNC is a center right party. Obama is a center right president. Clinton was a center right president. Romney is center right. Tea party types are far right.
And there's no culture of poverty which is something the far right likes to believe as it paints poor people as being stupid and lazy welfare munchers. Ironically it says more about the people who believe what pundits tell them than the people they like to target.

Dude, you really need to start thinking for yourself
Lets see...... in the 1950's and say 60's...... when the so called "normal and tolerable" Republican party existed before they moved "so far to the right"....... what was their standing on gay marriage, womens rights, legalizing pot, the environment, abortions.......drumroll please..... THEY WERE COMPLETELY AGAINST ALL OF THESE ISSUES THEN AS WELL
If you want to argue that the Republican party has played a part in destroying the middle class and moved to the right economically then fine, but don't ever act like socially they have moved that way because you would be completely wrong
There's a big difference between the republicanism of William F. Buckley of the 60s and 70s and the Republicanism of a Sarah Palin of the 21st century.
There's a big difference between an Eisenhower or a Reagan and a G. W. Bush or a Newt Gingrich.
Anyone who denies that the far right, conservative wing of the republican party has hijacked the GOP is in serious denial. Even the republicans admit it.
I fear Romney more than any republican politician alive. Why? Because he has no backbone. No spine to speak of. No political ideology of his own. His only agenda is to get a Mormon elected to the Presidency. His Allegiance is to his church and not to his country. He will rubber stamp the far right, fascist agenda without a second thought to achieve his goal.
I respect Ron Paul much more than Mitt Romney. At least he stands firm on his principles and his beliefs. He will kowtow to no faction, right or left. I disagree with many of his solutions but I admire his openess, honesty and firmneess of principle.
No, I can safely say I'm not afraid of some radical right wing person getting into office and making huge changes. Your beliefs may be the opposite of mine, but I don't fear you or someone with your values getting power.
And when I say fear mongering I'm talking about when all the buzzwords come up. Like Michael Savage saying that within the first year of Obama's presidency we'd be in re-education camps (don't have the soundbite but I listened live). Or the birth certificate fiasco. Or flat out lies like him being a Muslim. Or flat out lies/ignorance like that he's a socialist or communist or fascist. Or that he's an antichrist (dishearteningly common a few years ago among many right wingers).

Your post is oddly cryptic.
Can you elaborate or something?
Your fear mongering, may be your truth and my fear mongering may be my truth. Your bias is going to determine what you want and visa-versa.
He is trying like hell, to get the Ron Paul guys and gals, to vote for him in Tampa.
Ain't gonna happen.
