I can't figure out if the gunslingers on here are paid by the NRA or if they honestly believe they need the firepower of a Somali warlord to protect themselves (and their hypothetical children - nobody who actually has kids in the house wants an AK-47 lying around). In which case, they are paranoid and guns in the hands of paranoids...

Out of curiosity, do you believe local law enforcement needs this level of firepower? If so, why? Are the police paranoid? Are they even safe to be around carrying Somali warlord weapons?
They unfortunately probably do need it because arsenals are being legally sold to psychotics.

So the understanding is that only criminals and local law enforcement get them with regular law abiding citizens in the middle with their pea shooters. Also, police are never psychotic or vengeful?

If we just made it illegal to murder people, then we would end all this violence. Hmmm, but then only the criminals would murder people. It's obvious then, we need to make it illegal to be a criminal. There, fixed it.

We just need to increase the hiring of law enforcement officers by 9000%, or maybe more. Hmmm, but then all we will have is a 9,000% increase in the people responding to a shooting, after it has already occurred.
