Nope, gun control is a moot point in this country since there's 300 million guns in private ownership already. There's no way to limit the huge amount of firearms already circulating both legally and illegally in this country. No where in the world outside of former or current warzones has this many guns. The gun lobbyists have made sure of that for years now.
Americans as a nation if full of tons of goofy gun freaks--I'm not talking about just owning a handgun for protection or shotgun or a rifle for hunting. There's f--king fullblown loons with huge legally obtained arsenals. Nothing we can do about it, so we might as all get our guns for self-protection and get them ready for the quiet guy down the street who's been stockpiling ammo for months.
You do know people have ammo stocked kind of like food supply. If bullets are on sale people will buy an extra amount. Just because one has a stock of ammo doesn't mean they're going to go out and shoot people. Some people have teenage kids they go shooting with and most kids never bring their own ammo to shoot............you do know this right??
You just never, ever know what a psychotic person is going to do... But how assuring, isn't it, that psychotics can legally purchase machine guns, huh?
Please define machine gun and then link to specific crimes in the US by otherwise law abiding citizens which have involved machine guns.
I'm not for gun control in this country. But there's nothing shocking about it. People who are effected directly, will fight for change. James Brady was shot and paralyzed, so he is for gun control. Dick Cheneys daughter is gay, so hes in favor of gay marriage. Nancy Reagan's husband could have been helped by stem cell research, so shes in favor of it. People who experienced a mass shooting, have just seen two more of them in the span of 3 weeks, so they want something done...
My in laws both elderly, were stabbed to death, by a guy who was shot in the ankle by the cops for stealing knives in a store. You don't see me wanting to ban knives......
Instead you find me wanting all states to have a National Castle Law, and a gun in every house required by Law. That's doing something about it.
If wackos knew what was coming, because citizen were armed, and OR if we brought back public punishment like whippings on a post, where the public could see it, a lot of bad guys would just quit, and if they didn't a first time i bet the would before there were a 2nd time.
This death on convicted killers by lethal injection is plain wrong. It should hurt like hell itself to be executed.
It's clear to these folks. Incrementalism that eventually results in handing over all guns. It can just be pointed out that Chicago crime is caused by guns coming in from Illinois and elsewhere. Ban guns in Illinois, and the libs say it's coming from a "red state". Ban them nationwide, and now, poof, you've "solved your problem".
That and taxing ammunition to high heaven until your gun is useless. Then we'll have the underground bullet makers. Make it a federal crime to make your own rounds and forfeit guns for the rest of your life if caught. Everything registered, and any "boating accident" excuse when any door to door confiscation round occurs results in immediate jail time. Remember, the ATF considers shoe laces a "machine gun". Best to go to the range barefoot or in laceless loafers just to be safe.
ATF = Always Think Forfeiture.
Thanks for clearing this up.........it's not at all the way some on the left explain it, they say..... "No ones trying to take your gun" or "Why do you cling to your gun & Bible"..............by the way of seen these people barefoot or wearing flip-flops!!

Why don't the survivors ask themselves why they chose not to take personal accountability for their protection? Easier to disarm all law abiding citizens apparently than to take responsibility to arms oneself. Crazy.
