There have been large protests in Anaheim Cal. because police killed two gang members. The police officers thought their life was in danger so I can understand why they would defend themselves.

These gang bangers had extensive criminal histories. Instead of protesting against the police there should be a celebration thanking them for eliminating this human garbage. One of the reasons we have such a gang problem is that there is not enough hatred directed at the gang element. Whenever there is conflict between a gang member and a police officer I will always take the side of the police.

I thought the outrage was over the police unleashing dogs on children and women.

No, it was the shooting of gang members. The dog got away from the officer and was seen in the video struggling to get the dog off the people and back under control. Both that officer and the dog should be suspended pending internal review of the incident.

Are you looking for logic and facts?
If so, CD isn't the place for you.

No, they were already protesting police brutality when that dog got away.
The dog was not sent in to attack those protesters, the dog got away from the officer.

The gang members were already dead and the people were protesting the shooting.

Maybe you should go back and read what happened again so you're not confused.

I believe the police should abide by the law. Especially since they are being paid by us to uphold it. We can't simply shoot people we don't like.

If the officer's acted outside of the law, they should be punished.

As far as this notion that the community is siding with gangs, I think your a bit mislead.

Our officially elected crips and bloods don't take kindly to competition, thus the shooting.

Well with all these shootings you read about, how many did NOT have rap sheets/criminal background ?
How many truly innocent victims who had no criminal background did the cops shoot ?

I have not read of one incident yet.
