I don't think property ownership means much anymore in terms of signifying responsibility, rootedness, or civic-mindedness. There are better proxies today.
Because nothing says responsible and civic-minded like sowing your wild oats and procreating with anything that moves.
Here's what you take issue with:

Voting rights should not be stripped because you can't separate fantasy from reality.
Many adults don't have the knowledge, wisdom, and experience to make complex and irreversible decisions .... many WOMEN do.
