Not peaceful - hence it doesn't describe the situation at all.

How very sad.
Keep an eye on that kid. If your gaydar is correct, you're describing somebody at high risk for self-harm, substance abuse, and other self-destructive behaviors.

You judge the father but you don't judge the sin of the son.

Peaceful or non peaceful has nothing to do with anything. The son is gay. Fine. The father has every right to not to accept him whether it be right or wrong. They should both move on with their lives now.

I haven't been made aware of any of James' sins, so I'm not sure what I'd be judging.

Huh? You're the one brought up the idea of peaceful coexistence, not me.

Nobody ever claimed his father doesn't have that right.

Of all of the Republicans who have posted in this thread only two seem to have a problem with what the father did. Sad, but unfortunately not surprising.

Because the son did nothing wrong.

The man in this situation, not a father (because a real father would never do something so disgusting), is completely in the wrong here.

James put his sex before his father. His sin is homosexuality. It is the father's right to do what he wants, not yours. If James made the decision to put his depravity before his father that is his choice.

Funny I always thought it was the duty of a good father and mother to concern themselves with the happiness and well-being of their child. Guess some people approach parenting very differently unfortunately.
