Link to full article is at the bottom of this post. From the article cited.

A switch in party preference of this magnitude is virtually unheard of among major companies with an established presence in Washington,” said Rogan Kersh, provost at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina."

A few more snippets follow, from this article about the 180 degree shift in presidential candidate and political party business donations. Folks, Obama is killing this country, by a thousand cuts. Businesses recognize it is life or death for them, to defeat Obama.

Even if you have a jaded view of business allegiances when it comes to politics, it is clear that business does not trust Obama. To wit.

Mr Jobs Councils company is seeing red!
"Employees of General Electric Co. (GE) are giving 63 percent of their contributions to Republicans this year, almost a mirror image of their distribution in 2008 when Democrats received 66 percent of their donations."

"Goldman Sachs Group (GS) employees have changed to red from blue."

84% of the companies in this study tilt heavily red with their donations!
"Employees of just four of the top 25 companies, Time Warner Inc. (TWX), Pfizer Inc. (PFE), Comcast Corp. (CMCSA), and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT), continued to give a majority of their donations to Democrats."

The watered-down Financial Reform bill was but a start, and more likely the Banks, Wall Street and Big Bidness see their remaining tax breaks & lax regulations still left from the Bush era, all starting to come to a close. And Obama has made no secret of his sympathies with the OWS movement.

Wow. Greedy people who don't want to pay taxes or pay Americans decent wages like Romney.

Gosh. What a surprise!

From the same article cited by OP:

Quote:
The banking industry, blamed for triggering the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, opposed new regulations and oversight that a Democratic Congress enacted and Obama signed into law over Republican opposition. The presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Mitt Romney, co- founder of the Boston-based private-equity firm Bain Capital LLC, has pledged to repeal the new rules.
Quote:
Six of the 13 corporations whose employees reversed their political giving are financial institutions, including four of the top five. They are: Goldman, Bank of America Corp., Morgan Stanley (MS) and JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) The other two are Citigroup Inc. (C) and UBS AG. (UBSN)

Quote:
Of the 10 companies whose employees gave the most money to Romney Victory, nine were Wall Street firms.

So basically the big banks and Wall Street, who hated being reigned in by Obama, want to go back to the bad ol' days of pre-2009 recklessness; unanimously think Mitt Romney is the guy to take them there.

And this is supposed to convince the rest of us to vote for Romney?

But, you didn't think that four years ago when he had their backing, right? It is only naievte that believe the little people were what brought about his election. No, they've seen his stuff, and said no thanks.

It is not supposed to change votes. Folks here have made up their minds. We're all just pissing in the wind. 8.3%/1.5% GDP...not good numbers, and there is only one White House occupant who owns those numbers.

What the article does show is that the big money has shifted allegiance. The Romney campaign is by and large, not spending their money, while out raising the Obama campaign the past three months. Time will tell if it is a good strategy to unload a Tsunami, starting in about two weeks, and running to November 6.
