"Recruiting returning vets: 'Rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat.”'
The problem is that the Southern Poverty Law Center and Homeland Security have literally no idea what constitutes a potential terrorist.
They point their fingers randomly at anyone who writes inflammatory statements about "a revolution" - even when they are talking about political or social revolution, not violence. Or who are writing about people learning to defend themselves, not attack others. Or about people who write blogs or post to forums because they are angry about something and are blowing off steam, not trying to incite violence or riots.
That SPLC report in 2009 listed one of my dearest friends as a "potential terrorist" - a 63-year-old grandmother who believes in running and supporting political campaigns for change, who raises and cans her own farm produce, who likes to hunt on her own property and fish, and who is about as violent as a box of potatoes. While HLS and SPLC are busily running around calling everyone who disagrees with the current administration a domestic terrorist, they are only revealing that they have no idea what to look for - so they figure if they cast a wide enough net, they might catch someone, someday, so they can finally say, "SEE?? WE TOLE YOU SO!" Of course, it hasn't happened yet, but not for want of their trying.
HLS and SPLC are as useless as t!tz on a boar hog. They think if they cry "WOOOLF!" enough times, a wolf will appear - meanwhile, the wolves are left free to do as they please. Believe their hysteria if you want - all I see are a bunch of spoiled, ignorant, self-righteous children demanding attention and justification for their bureaucracies' continuance.
What right wing extremists are we talking about? The one that shot Gabby Giford's? Oh wait he was not a RWE, ok maybe the one that tried to blow up a car in Times Square, NYC.... oh wait that was not a RWE either, ummmm the Fort Hood guy..... nope. Hmmmm please do share who all these RWE are?
you know, those terrorists like the Tea Partiers.. A bunch of old people, thats who the lefts afraid of.. haha..
What about all the left wing hate groups as well? I recall OWS which turned out to be nothing more than a rape, assault and opiate festival...... if they had only stood for what they SAID they stood for they would have gotten my respect
What about the hate group of feminazis who urged the Dems to start a war on women recently?
The list could go on and on and.....
Yes, though, it is troubling to see these white supremascist groups doing the crap they are doing
Oh and be sure to read the bottom, very interesting.

Due to some commonly held separatist ideologies, some white supremacist organizations have found limited common cause with black supremacist or extremist organizations.
In 1961 and 1962 George Lincoln Rockwell, the leader of the American Nazi Party, was invited to speak by Elijah Muhammad at a Nation of Islam rally. In 1965, after breaking with the Nation of Islam and denouncing its separatist doctrine, Malcolm X told his followers that the Nation of Islam under Elijah Muhammad had made agreements with the American Nazi Party and the Ku Klux Klan that "were not in the interests of Negros." In 1985 Louis Farrakhan invited white supremacist Tom Metzger, leader of the White Aryan Resistance (a neo-Nazi white power group), to attend a NOI gathering. The Washington Times reports Metzger's words of praise: "They speak out against the Jews and the oppressors in Washington.... They are the black counterpart to us."
