Mother Jones, HuffingtonPost and Wikipedia.

Wow...all such credible sources. /sarcasm

Seriously, get back to me when you all have something relevant to add.

In what way? Were our founders "extremists?" Does the Constitution of The United States represent "extremist" ideas? Is the idea of "limited government," extreme?

In our views and ideology, we who support the Tea Party, and Tea Party candidates (recall there is no political party called the "Tea Party"; it is a movement) advocate for adherance to the Constitution as the Law that governs government, and we oppose the "tax the rich" and "redistribution of wealth" policies that are the hallmark of socialism and the Obama administration, as well as the ideology of Centralized Control and Planning (which are again, socialist ideas).

We believe individualism and entrepreneurism as the best way to lift people out of poverty and to create wealth and a higher standard of living, which has worked for over 200 years.

Obama is flat out wrong when he says "their system (capitalism) doesn't work." His "system" (Marxism/socialism) has never worked in the history of man.

There is not one thing that this man has in common with those of us on the right. Do not connect us to "white supremacists."

This is an example of the failure of our public schools. We are turning out complete ignoramuses.

You personally can redefine these terms all you want, but it does not and will not change the definition which is most generally accepted in our society.

We have our crazies on the liberal side, but the white supremacists are YOURS.
The KKK belongs to the Democrat Party. Robert "sheets" Byrd?

Who's redefining terms? The Democrat Party has been doing that for years! This is why they are trying to associate groups such as the KKK with "far-right" but it is wrong.

Republicans freed the slaves, remember? We were opposed to slavery. I suppose you're going to twist that around now too, huh?

To most left wing kooks, there isnt a difference. Look at the thread title, and how they all get lumped together simply because left wing hates!!

It goes both ways. The recently declassified FBI documents talk about both right-wing and left-wing extremist groups:

Right-Wing Groups:

White Supremacists, National Alliance, Aryan Nations, the World Church of the Creator, White Revolution, Hammerskin Nation, and various KKK groups. It then goes on to talk about militias and what separates them from most right-wing extremist groups.

Left-Wing Groups (these are also Single Issue Groups):

Animal Rights, Eco Terrorists, Animal Liberation Front, Earth Liberation Front.

Then there's anti-abortion terrorists, etc.

Now this is a fair post. Two thumbs up for the non partisan post. Very refreshing. It is amusing to watch the members of the right wing try to do mental gymnastics to prove the KKK is not a right wing extremist group. Unfortunately, most of the right wing posters are not mentally coordinated enough to perform mental gymnastics and end up looking like mental midgets.

Obviously, too, many people are not recognizing that there was much more threat from the left-wing extremist groups back in the 1960s. Today that has shifted to violence from the right-wing extremist side, with a rise in the number of hate groups. And, no, I don't consider the "Tea Party" to be a hate group or terrorists.

IMO, it is very amusing watching people twist and squirm trying to "re-define" right wing extremists groups as leftist liberals!!

What can be done? Not much, unless the individual or groups break any laws they are free to do as they wish. The most that can be done is to monitor the activities of any that seem to be a treat to Public Safety or National Security. I am against creating any more rules or laws to stack the deck in the governments favor, the ones we have now are enough.

It seems that a certain segment of America's population always needs an "enemy" to displace their anger, fear, and hatred upon. Since the fall of the Soviet Union, they seem to hate their fellow Americans. All they need is something "different" to set them off.

It's obviously a mental condition of some sort. I don't know what could be done to cure it.
