About 90% of child molestation in the USA is committed by a FAMILY member or someone close and trusted by the family of the child that has been molested.

This is called a solution in search of a problem. When exactly did kids getting molested on airplanes become a new trend? You can't even pass gas in privacy on an airplane, ffs.

It's absurd children are allowed to fly unaccompanied. Period. Why should any airline be made responsible for unaccompanied minors just because some parents are too cheap to travel with them?

Why are people requesting wheelchairs not charged extra? The airline always picks up the tab to have one available and a paid employee to push them. Some require 'straightback' chairs and several employees to assist...which often delays the flight by as much as 20-30 minutes.

What about the elderly? There was an old woman who had no idea where she was, or where she was going. She had dimentia and her son was too cheap to travel with her on the connecting flight.

This is the inevitable result of stories like the Sandusky case. I used to volunteer for Big Brothers, Big Sisters. One of the reasons I shy away is the perception that a man in his thirties/forties/fifties interested in volunteering to help young men and women is probably a pedophile. In the classroom, as a male teacher, you avoid situations in which you will be alone with students unless you are in plain view. Same thing with coaching. Just about the last thing any man ever wants to be suspected of is being a possible pedophile. Unfortunately, a few men ruin it for all of us.

I've never heard anything this crazy. Too cheap?

My parents were divorced and my dad lived across the country. I flew out to see him 1-2 times a year from age 7. Are you seriously suggesting my mother should've flown with me from the Midwest to the West Coast and back, then done it again on the return trip?

Perhaps you have Governor Romney's money, but most of us don't!

The airlines had better prohibit family members or anyone that the family claims to trust from sitting next to any child then.
