Was it Mexico that paid for that training? Was it Mexico that paid for this coaching and everything else that deals with being part of the Olympics? What the hell! Reminds me of all those Mexican - Americans in Los Angeles screaming and shouting against the USA when the national anthem was played in a soccer match between the USA and Mexico. How wonderful that they DEMAND from America while showing their heart for Mexico. Makes you wonder.
When a football player goes to a new team he is expected to show loyality and be behind the cause of the team that he is playing for. I can't imagine a player showing duel loyality openly in a press release.
Well, same thing. Speaking of which in some countries like Mexico or Brazil who take their soccer playing serious to do so would be dangerous to a players life.
The 27-year-old was born in Mexico, but the United States is his country now. His father migrated here illegally from the city of Dolores Hidalgo. Manzano was brought here when he was 4.

Funny that the ppl that were there for generations BEFORE those white Europeans would ask them to go back where they came from... Not. Those Mexican-Americans you're complaining about were there first.
It is a problem of identity in the Latino community that is for sure. I see it all the time within my own family and that of my wife's family. Hell my wife almost got into a knock down drag out brawl with her sister-in-law who is from Mexico when the US played Mexico for the Gold Cup in soccer. My wife wore her American Flag shirt to the party and her SIL the Mexican flag. Add some beer and you can figure out the rest.
It isn't just the latino community. I don't feel all that much loyalty to washington either.
I thought the Olympics was supposed to be Politics free!
