Here is a list of other latino olympic winners. I caught an interview with Danell Leyva. His family came to the US from Cuba when he was 4 years old. He is very proud of his Cuban heritage but he
never once said he represented Cuba, only that he was proud to represent the US. None of the other latinos with strong bonds to their heritage/country of birth never said they represented any other country along with the US.
The list refers to winners and losers. I don't like the reference to "losers". Anyone who makes it to the Olympics, IMO, are very much a winner. That itself is an achievement.
