It has been argued that buddhism is not a religion.
Can't you be christian, jewish, etc and also be buddhist?

They don't treat the women as equals, either.
It isn't a religion. It is a belief. You can be anything religious and know that we are only here to find enlightenment. We have no God, only examples.

Tibetan women have more power than one can imagine. Just not in the modern sense.

Freedom of religion is important. That's why the founders saw fit to include it in the constitution.

I dont care for Islam, but as far as I am concerned, you can worship a goat (or a cat, that would be cool) and I would not care.

As long as you respect other people's rights is ok.
