The atmosphere was not a jovial one. The words "gonorrhea epidemic" were thrown around in ominous tones. No one was up for hanging out after.
Did you know gonorrhea can kill you? It can, and it's also tragically effective at making women infertile.
The list of effective antibiotics has been dwindling as the bacteria became resistant, and now it's down to one. Five years ago, the CDC said fluoroquinolones were no longer effective, but oral cephalosporins were still a common/easy treatment. Now injected ceftriaxone is the only recommended effective drug we have left. And it has to be given along with either azithromycin or doxycycline.
About 700,000 Americans carry gonorrhea bacteria. Fewer than half of them know it. Although many men and women have symptoms -- discharge and/or a burning sensation during urination -- many do not. That's why sexually active gay and bisexual men and at-risk women should be tested for gonorrhea (and other STDs) at least once a year.
To avoid gonorrhea:
And sexually active straight men should not? How are most women getting infected if not by straight guys?
It's a known fact STDs spread easier through anal sex than vaginal sex due to the thin lining of the rectum. Unprotected casual anonymous sex is still dangerous be it gay or straight.

It's just a quote from the article, bro. Everyone getting tested is fine by me.
I've never had gonorrhea, but I had a severe urinary tract infection once. It was like pizzing fire. Imagine not being able to have that cured.

this is a another good reason why porn is good, can't get std's from taking matters into your own hands.. no joke intended..
Agreed. Voyeurism is underrated.
