Why yes the GOP did include opposition to Agenda 21 in their platform for this coming election. I don't think that many people here really understand what Agenda 21 is and how it is supposed to work to take away the sovereignty of many nations, including the United States of America. Some of you have been taken in completely by what it purports to be and isn't. At least if you can't read the link maybe you could open it up and find the blue here where you can see if your city, town, village, county, or township is a part of ICLEI.

‘Agenda 21’ and Why is the GOP Now Opposed to It?

Obama is firmly in the pockets of the international bankers and backers of Agenda 21, such as Soros and Van Jones.

Elizabeth Warren praised China as a "model for America"

The UN is filled with socialists and communists who placed China, Pakistan, Egypt, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Saudi Arabia on the Commission for Human Rights. My God, that's like putting the fox in charge of protecting the hens.

Agenda 21 cannot co-exist with the US Constitution. Bush installed his version of the Gestapo (TSA, HS) Obama signed in the NDAA making it possible to arrest, without due process, any US citizen. He has made it a point to weaken the Constitution in preparation for the UN (OWG) takeover of all civilized countries.

You'll know the US is done when they confiscate your weapons.

I am against it because I want ours to stay a sovereign nation. Heck, I think we have given up too many State's Rights (hello, No Child Left Behind and The Department of Education)

But wheres the proof that there seizing land? Everytime I ask that question you can't seem to produce any proof...as for Agenda 21 its based off the Northeastern US planning which goes back to the 1880s and 1950s for Newer layouts... People don't seem to complain here , the walkable , transit towns have outgrew the auto suburbs over the past 10 years.... People like the option of not driving everywhere and have things centralized...you can still have a decent sized property....but car use is option... The only time they take land is for highways , railways , and pipelines....otherwise if someone wants your land like a developer they have to pay you full price...or double in most cases....and its not like people don't accept. As for forcing people into the cities thats been a trend for the last 15 years...its not forced but a trend that isn't slowing down. It will protect the Farmers and Rural areas from over development which puts a huge strain on the Govt and locals....who mostly just want to Farm or Raise cattle and not have the city move in..

When has a UN policy ever directly affected the US....the UN is pretty weak....its just a forum for discussing ideas...the only people worried over Agenda 21 are Rural people who would be protected by what Agenda 21 calls for....like in Europe or Asia....there are strict zoning laws to protect Rural and Farm life from over development. While the old way of building cities was to stack them that way of planning was thrown out in the 1970s...it was deemed to not work and destory cities... These days cities and Dense suburbs design new areas to be open and relaxed...

Does the idea of reducing the worlds population by half seem ridiculous???

Sure, it may seem that way. And you can't really make a watertight argument that they indeed ARE doing this.

But, a better question would be...why do you think the elite WOULDN'T do this?

Its not going to happen....at least not intill 2100...and will all be dead by then....the recession slowed the Global growth rate...and the US rate has been on the decline since the 1970s....who really wants to have children? All that work...sucking half of your income.... Having children isn't a need anymore , which is why Japan and Europe will lose half their populations by 2070.... The US will be the only country that will continuing to grow by 2100s.... China will start decling by 2030s....India by the 2040s... This is a good thing....the Planets Population capacity is 15.7 Billion after that we will start having food shortages and run out of all types of Fuel...and wars over everything...but this is unlikely to occur this century if at all...

Did you open the link? If so, did you manage to look at the new way of listing the ICLEI members? What country is next to the US in member governmental units? Yes, we are so far ahead of second place that it is amazing.

Sustainability is a very high sounding word that was developed by the UN. Some things that may work that the GOP leans toward would be like using our own fossil fuels like oil and coal. You know the things that Hussein Obama doesn't want us developing. I am sure there are more things that will certainly work but these things are possible.
