So does Jesus.

Even if you have a problem with that and misguidedly think otherwise - what is the problem with singing the song?

Besides - we don't know from the story that the mommy is alive - and its possible that the teacher didn't know either.

In light of the fact that those would actually pass a law like this are the one's who think the 1st Amendment allows for state sponsored prayer, I seriously doubt they have read the Constitution or Supreme Court rulings, much less understood them.

I wonder why all these god guys can't hear prayers unless they're said out loud in public...???

I was told that a god could hear your silent prayers, he was all knowing (and all hearing).

Oh, ya, prayers don't count unless the person praying can be seen to be praying(showing off) and then be mistaken for a good person....that must be it. Prayers used to make a point and not with god.

If it's true that a god can hear silent prayers then those who chose to pray already have the ability to pray anywhere...what whiners!!!

Correct, the right to pray has always been there, it is those that want to force more that claim it was removed.

They also haven't read the Bible obviously.

Matthew 6: 5“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Uh, according to christians it wouldn't make any difference..REMEMBER ????

She would be up in heaven floating around on a cloud for some reason and still quite capable of loving her daughter.

Sheesh, how I hate having to explain to christians what their rules are

If the teacher understood that - then they why would they have a problem with the song the girl was singing?

You really ought to think about what your writing before hitting the submit button.

You really ought to think about there being some connection to the post you quote and your question.....it's as nonsensical as the OP.

This is a cause for celebration. The people of Missouri have affirmed that the First Amendment's free exercise clause is important and valid - and has provided legal protection against attacks on any Missourian who wishes to pray in school or in public. I think it is time that such amendments are sought in all state constitutions so that religious liberty continues to be upheld in the republic.

The teacher discouraged the child from singing a Christian song - if the mommy was with the Lord - and the teacher acknowledged this - then it stands to reason that the teacher would not have had a problem with the kids choice of music.
