Fine, I was never defending bottled water to begin with. I was comparing tap water to sewage water. Evidently bottled water makers don't filter the water any better than the municipalities.

The Earth got all the water that it is ever going to have when the seas formed.
All water has been recycled ever since then.
The fact is: every time we have a drink of water, we are drinking waste of some kind. Some of that waste has been cycling around for millions of years.

The only difference between us and some other folks in some far away place is differing levels of natural resistance to all the waste we, all other species, and old Mother Nature creates. When we all are given the opportunity, we all would prefer to drink pure water. So does every other critter on the planet.
