The role of government is to organize and provide public services, services which are either directly voted upon or appointed by the representatives the public elects.

Then again, aren't you the same bloke who said the government doesn't produce anything...

Is their pay voted on?
And yes I said that and it's true. Government can only operate by theft of resources from individuals, how many would pay taxes if they were voluntary?

Private vs union. Private companies employee salaries are not paid for by tax payers.

It still boggles the mind how you and others defend this amount of money being paid for a job a high school kid could do.

I could run a business into a ground, and I ***** all the time about the multimillion dollar paychecks these failing executives get.

But back to the subject.

They're paid for by taxpayers via the purchase of the sales or service that company is providing.

Anytime a state is having budget problems, look first at the unions. Always a big part of the problem, as California proves in this story.

You cant have much of a life if you're here biitching about someone who dont need a degree and is earning a lot more than you, as someone has said, its pretty smart to have a job like that, low stress, high salary. Good for them i say. At least their not living off foodstamps like a whole lot of folks like to whine about and WHOLE lot of trivial things.
