Default Special Forces officers say Obama is taking too much credit in OBL killing

Former special forces officers slam Obama over leaks on bin Laden killing - CNN.com

Quote:
"As a citizen, it is my civic duty to tell the president to stop leaking information to the enemy," says Benjamin Smith, identified in the video as a former Navy SEAL. "It will get Americans killed."
Another former Navy SEAL in the video, Scott Taylor, says of the bin Laden raid: "If you disclose how we got there, how we took down the building, what we did, how many people were there, that it's going to hinder future operations, and certainly hurt the success of those future operations."
Smith also criticizes the president for taking too much credit for the SEALs' raid.
"Mr. President, you did not kill Osama bin Laden. America did," he says. "We have become a political weapon. We are not."

He should take credit for the hit...after all, he had a vast amount of war zone experience in Chicago when he was organizing Midnite Basketball tourneys before he became a Senator.

This guy is a republican. The office is full of nothing but republicans. He is using his military honor for partisan politics. Nothing else.

C'mon man! After the launch of anti-Obama messaging from the SEAL group the past few days, do you not think that this guy was trotted out by the Obama campaign to counter the message? LOL

If he expects to keep his ******* job, he sure as hell will get his ass out there and praise the President! Without a doubt, that was the message that was delivered to this Admiral! That's how DC works.

Quote:
McRaven refused to respond Wednesday when asked whether he agreed with Romney that any president would have made the same decision Obama did. However, at a couple of junctures, the Special Operations commander offered effusive praise for Obama.
This is about as transparent as it can get! Geez!!

Quote:
This isn't about politics. This is about a Commander in Chief who I have the opportunity to engage with on a routine basis."
In other words, "I WANT TO KEEP MY JOB!!"

LOL

Hmmmm.... the "seals" of which you speak had nothing to do with the Bin Laden operation. This guy did.

The "seals" of which you speak are all low level guys, none apparently ever involved with mission planning. This guy was.

The "seals" of which you speak follow orders. This guy issues them.

The "seals" of which you speak don't like Obama. This guy does.

I agree... its really very transparent what's going on.

Sluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurp! Knob polishing at its finest.

Obama giving the thumbs up from the safety of his bunker, is "s Obama "shouldering the burden of this operation." Taking on the political burden of the operation is what Obama did, which is not even close to risking your life, and being in harm's way as so many military and civilians did. One civilian "shouldered the burden" and is left rotting in freaking prison. This admiral is a putz.
