With the amount of money spent, the money that went over seas, and the amount of jobs "created" that were only temporary, I dont see how it was this great success. I think the failing of the economy actually stopped before this was even in place, so i dont see how it saved our economy or prevented it from getting worse. The worst was already over before the stimulus was enacted. I think in the long run, the Stimulus made things worse.

Obama did pave the way for the Muslim Brotherhood. That is why-

1. the muslim brotherhood controls Egypt
2. the muslim brotherhood controls Libya
3. he invited members of the Muslim Brotherhood to the White House
4. Hillary Clinton's advisor has family members in the Muslim Brotherhood

What part of that is not factual?

Again- if the stimulus was so "successful", why did it not achieve its goals? That is what we call "failure" on planet earth, not in the liberal spin zone.

Your "logic" is analagous to this-

A town built a dam which contained a resevoir. The dam broke, flooding the town in the valley below, destroying everything. However, there was a small componant of the resevoir left behind the dam. Therefore in liberal "logic" the dam was a tremendous success!

1. The Muslim Brotherhood has existed since 1920, and has been working to acquire power in Egypt since then. I AM AN EGYPTIAN-AMERICAN AND YOU REALLY OBVIOUSLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. You are basically making the stupidest argument possible.

2. Read the article, and then argue against its points.

I watched a Frontline show about this. Pres. Obama saved us from a total meltdown and the Bush Administration did nothing at all the last few months to stop it.All the naysayers want to vilify him and say he failed. Economists from all sides have said that no one from either side could bring us back to before in four years.

Was the stimulus actually a big success?
In a word.......................... YES!
When something is destroyed, whether your home, car, finances as was our economy..... it cannot be fixed without spending money and normally far more than you want to........... same as with the destruction of our economy here.
Obama had two choices............. Stimulus or, as Romney wants to do, Austerity measures.
Bush and Obama chose Stimulus. Europe chose austerity measures.
The USA is now slowy getting back on track............ Europe is going bankrupt......... The measures here are working.
Over 4 million jobs have returned. Our Auto industry is thriving. Industry is coming back to the USA. We now, for the first time, have health moving forward for all Americans. Obama is cutting the huge incentives to the big insurance companies who thrive on medicare as the way to save money and not as Ryan wants to do cut money from the seniors who use medicare. The price of oil is up which means the economy is improing.... it goes down when the economy cannot sustain the cost.
There is much we can look at and realise that the economy IS getting better........... anyone who thought it would get better quickly or overnight was wrong but that is how economies work..... time and money gets it going forward.... NOT huge tax cuts to the wealthy.
Kudos Mr. President for getting America out of the biggest hole it has been since the great depression.
Let's hope this recovery is now not put back to before you became president when we were losing 80,000 jobs a month and the housing market completely collapsed by putting into office two clowns who want to return to the failed Bush policies.

One of the criticisms at the time was that the stimulus was too small. And the slow recovery is taken by those critics as proof. The other problem is that Obama underestimated the opposition that the GOP would bring to any of his proposals. And his constant search to reach for the aisle brought more exasperation among his base, that in the end, he alienated many of his supporters while making no headway with the other party.

Also, most of the money from the Stimulus Package was used by the states, a majority run by Republicans, who quietly took the money to balance their budgets, instantly getting credit for that action, and none to Obama. What Obama could have done -- Monday night quarterbacking here -- is to present the check in person to the legislature of each state, making sure this would be a headline in the local papers, and due credit to his efforts. As of now, the Stimulus is regard as a failure, thanks to the GOP propaganda machine.

Last point: No point in arguing with the rightwing nuts. You will waste your time. They are not here to discuss but to sabotage any sound discussion.

Again, sources would be good...
