"CIT’s top-notch potty may be the perfect solution for the 2.6 billion people worldwide who lack basic sanitation facilities and defecate in the open."
What a monster Bill Gates is, wanting to spread good sanitation throughout the Third World. He must be stopped!
Hasn't anyone heard of the Gates Foundation which has close to a $40 billion endowment?
My father is currently in the Peace Corp in Uganda. Such technology would be more than welcome there and in other under-developed countries where this technology would in fact save lives.
It's Gates money, why do we care how he spends it? Isn't the argument otherwise? It's not anyone elses business how the "rich" want to spend their money?
We could use some of those solar potties in Houston.
We are downstream from Dallas. We all just dump the sewage into the water supply. I'm getting all the birth control, anti depressants and antibiotics a person can handle just from the water coming out of the faucet.
If Gates wants to hand a bunch of port a potties to uganda so be it. They'll most likely end up at some diamond mining facility and never make it to the ones who need it like most things handed to that continent as the dictators always get hold of it first. Make him and the lefties feel good and pat each other on the back at their mansions is all it will end up doing but have at it. Arrowhead Stadium could use a few in the parking lot before the games Bill if you have an spares.
Think beyond your own bathroom and you might see the practical application this could have in third world countries. Besides, it's HIS money he's spending so why all the hostility?
