'Machine Gun Social' Planned By Asheville Tea Party
The NRA is just another public forum for the Republican Party and wacked out vigilantee Libertarians. What can you do. It's a free country and they have a vice grip on the throat of America.

I have been in the NRA for over 25 years and wish they would spend more time and effort on helping to create gun ranges and indoor shooting places. I am very annoyed by their being bought by the BIG MONEY that dominates the Republican Party and are likely to bring such economic ruin to most of the NRA people that they will not be able to afford their avocation.

I strongly support the 2nd amendment and believe we should all be armed and taught how and when to use firearms. I would like to see competitive shooting be reestablished and a high school sport using both rifles and pistols. I am totally opposed to the restrictive and confiscatory firearms regulation used by some urban jurisdiction to disarm the poor to the great joy of the criminals that prey on these people.

Not if it doesn't have any explosives in it .... one guy at our local range has one... just gets a big puff of blue smoke at the target. Basically looks like a short-barreled shotgun with a really big bore, and the shells are rimmed. If he bought destructive ammo for it, he would need a transfer stamp for each one, get fingered printed and mug shot for each one, and a sign-off from the chief of police.

It would seem that a few on the left have an issue with this Tea party gun event. Are you people forced to attend? Are tax dollars paying for the event? Is it being held on your property? Is anyone being hurt by it? Is anyone asking you on the left to pay for it?
Then what exactly is your problem other than you feel the need to stereotype and villify people you have never met and dont know?
You really are letting your ignorance show.
By the way a machine gun is a fully automatic weapon, normally belt fed.

Wow, you really are clueless aren't you; or, is it that you prefer a non-free country? I cannot say I've ever heard Libertarians labeled as vigilantees before. Do you have a link to specific vigilantee actions of these roving bands of Libertarians? Is this one? P.A.U.L. FESTIVAL - People Awakening and Uniting for Liberty - Home

I think LookinForMayberry is really looking for Bloomberg style nanny-statism.

The only legitimate use of force is in defense of individual rights — life, liberty, and justly acquired property — against aggression. This right inheres in the individual, who may agree to be aided by any other individual or group. We affirm the individual right recognized by the Second Amendment to keep and bear arms, and oppose the prosecution of individuals for exercising their rights of self-defense. We oppose all laws at any level of government requiring registration of, or restricting, the ownership, manufacture, or transfer or sale of firearms or ammunition.
