I don't know if any of you have seen High school mom's, or 16 & pregnant or Teen mom. But I just wanted to know you're guys' thoughts on teen pregnancy (more than. "it's bad, they're stupid). What is your mindset/thoughts?

Also how do you feel about the place of schools and outside programs (as far as like planned parenthood). For example, My school offers a class that awards credit to pregnant teens and it's a parenting class. For parents (both boys & girls) to be.

I found these articles that sparked my interest

***DISCLAIMER**** please do not turn this thread into a single sided- race debate. If you want to include statistics about races/groups/ethnicites, by all means do so but I do not want this to turn into "Latina girls are the only ones who have babies and they have like 6 idk why they don't just use birth control" etc.

I think about all the right wing politicians in this country who would restrict access to and knowledge about birth control for teenagers.

What do you think when you see pregnant teenagers?

Fulfillment of the promise of survival of the species. What else really is there?

I think their parents did a bad job raising them.

I think I am glad I cannot get pregnant anymore but I think that about every woman I see who is pregnant not just teenagers. No big deal, they had sex, they got pregnant, they are dealing with it however they see fit, none of my business or concern.

As far as that television trash in my opinion television is all trash so I could care less about any of that trash since I don't watch television except for the occasional music video and all the cheesy Christmas Movies on the Hallmark Channel.

They hand out rubbers in school now. Apparently that isn't helping. What a schock a child who isnt' responsible enought to raise a kid also isn't responsible enough to practice safe sex.

I think, 'Welfare State vs. Abortion rights'.

You can't have your cake and eat it, too.
