The University of Colorado will segregate students who have concealed-weapons permits in special dorms, but their firearms will have to be locked up before bedtime, according to campus police.
Students with gun permits get segregated dorms at University of Colorado - U.S. News

I understand the reasons for segregating the gun-toting students, but if they're living together, I would think most of them would be comfortable sleeping with their roommates' guns out in the open.

The University of Colorado must have an inordinate number of dolts as students. Something tells me Harvard has a very small segment of its students interested in packing heat on campus. Call it a hunch.

Think of the children!!! At least separate the 9mm crowd from the .40 and .45 crowd. Have you ever been to a gun forum where someone asks which is the best caliber pistol round?! They'll be up all night arguing instead of learning stuff, getting drunk and banging chicks like every good college kid is supposed to!

I know what dorm won't have a lone gunman wonder in and start trouble.

Precisely! These permits don't stop anyone anyways! And while we're at it, let's get rid of those safety locks on handguns! Didn't we learn any lessons from the government's harassment of the automobile industry?!?! First they made them put brakes on cars and then seat belts! What's next? Air bags?!?! Once you let these big government, atheist commies start putting any restrictions on anything, they take away all our freedoms!!!

The title of that article is very misleading. Here's the scoop from the Boulder daily newspaper:
