But most of you can tell me quite a bit about the state of the Giants' offensive line, when Glenn Beck thinks the rapture will occur, who Kim Kardashian is dating, Sarah Palin's thoughts on interior decorating, when Snooki is due, who is still left on American Idol and so on. Americans are quite knowledgeable about that stuff.
No clue about the giants or any other football team. Don't watch Beck or Fox. Nor the other programs you sited. Sorry to disappoint.

Since you are the only one here who knows anything about history and since Obama's is less than 20 years of age maybe you could stop accusing his accusers of being wrong without any information from that heavily loaded brain about what he really is. Why don't you make some statements that prove he is so great and stop just howling about how great he is with no proof of same?

I'm most certainly not the only one here with actual knowledge. There are others. The problem is that in our culture, the loudest voices are generally the dumbest. That goes for radio, television or your local pub. The voices of idiocy usually drown out the voices of intelligence. This happens because, first, there are more of the former than the latter and, second, because fewer people want to have to think when they listen to someone. We tend to like ideas that require less of us, in this case, mental labor.
Apparently you are under the misunderstanding that when one of your brethren regurgitates the latest Beckism, Bachmannism or Westism, the onus is upon me to disprove the crackpot theory. It is not, but if you wish me to give an example, let's use this one about the UN resolution that is going to result in mass confiscation of firearms in the United States. Uh, a UN resolution cannot allow any entity, including our federal government, to go around confiscating the weapons of American citizens. No more than a UN resolution could give our federal government license to take books from our homes they find objectionable. Little things like knowledge of how our political system works come in handy when the wingnuts start bandying this kind of garbage around. Since most lack that knowledge, it just sits out there and multiplies as one dunce spreads it to another dunce and so on. Meanwhile, someone at the top, whether it's at the NRA or on talk radio or at the RNC, gets rich or powerful spreading this nonsense, knowing you folks will lap it up every time. Do you think these people don't laugh at you when they're back in their condos or penthouse apartments? They want nothing to do with you. They just need to manipulate you into supporting their candidates or their causes.
Finally, I didn't vote for Obama. I don't think he's a great president. He's done some things I admire with regards to getting the ball rolling on health care and being willing to come out in favor of gay marriage. That took some guts. I hate the fact that he's been to the right of Dubs on foreign policy. Dubs never would have been able to get away with assassinating an American citizen, for example. I wish he were bolder on other issues.
OP cracked me up. The flaming partisans are so eager to parrot any smear on Obama they talk themselves in circles all the time. Well, they have a great candidate for that this year. Romney cannot say anything of substance without contradicting himself a week later.
CometClear is spot on with the post just above. The RW media machine is built on ginning up and duping the "low information" voter. It has been working for decades. It is amazing that joe six pack thinks Romney/Ryan has his back, when nothing could be further from the truth.
