America's continued retreat from God.

Why does that concern you the most when this country faces so many problems. Let me start by saying that I do believe in god because that is how I was raised but I do not go to church anymore. I'm actually becoming more spiritual as I get older although my catholic roots keep tugging at me.
Who is god exactly. Why do we need to believe in an unknown entity for fulfillment in our lives. It's almost like a crutch. Why can't we just believe in ourselves and do the best we can in life.
I think that's what's going on in america these days.
