I had an extensive conversation with a cop today about many of the issues discussed on city-data. He pulled a U-turn at an intersection to pull me over for not wearing my seatbelt.
Apparently, you have to have quite a bit of marijuana on you these days to get arrested.
Rio de Janeiro is just trying to get ready for the Olympics in 2016 - they would do a good thing by legalizing all drugs - the world's eyes will be watching them in 4 years.
All they care about is "cleaning up" the favelas - too bad that people won't be able to experience the real city.
