I live in a secondary snow belt, south of Lake Erie, that sees a lot of lake effect. There are only 20 or so days of snow of any consequences here every year. You're grossly inflating the effects on travel.

That's cool. Just saying there is an alternative to cars that want one. I've lived it and know it is possible, so others can take hope in that.
Is the increase in gas prices, food, and electric working for you? Is Obama proposing an increase in unemployment and welfare checks to keep up with the rising cost? How long will it take to move that mountain.

The reality is that as developing nations develop the price of crude oil and gasoline is going to go up. This is the over riding dominate trend. It can only be stopped by an unlimited supply of crude oil which does not exist.
In 2004 unemployment was 5.5% in 2005 it was 5.1% in 2006 4.6%. Want to rethink your statement?
